“I love to push boundaries in my art. “Two things may outlive us all, composition and teaching. Pushing boundaries with art through education is my passion.”

Jesse Ahmann discovered the cello at age 10 and has been playing ever since.  Jesse holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a K-12 certificate in public education.  He has been principal cellist of several different symphonies in various states.  He studied privately until the age of 22 and continued to progress quickly as a professional cellist playing in Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, on NPR’s All Things Considered, in Japan, Bulgaria, Italy, Czech Republic and Germany. Jesse just moved back to Bozeman, Montana, Previously he was playing a show in downtown Buenos Aires and recording with an artist there in Argentina.  Before that, he lived in Whitefish, Montana and played with his acoustic trio “Fresh off the Vine,”  “Glacier String Quartet,” a jazz trio, and was/is frequently hired as a studio musician.  You may hear him play lead guitar with various groups if he is brave enough.
